Public Relations: Affordable Media Exposure
Puts Your Business in the Spotlight
What is a PR Campaign?
A public relations (PR) campaign is a marketing strategy that is based
on working with the media. A highly effective PR campaign can give your
business the media exposure it needs and deserves.
Depending on your business' marketing goals, the campaign can be organized in many different ways. Most commonly, small to medium sized businesses are in need of product review articles, web site reviews and other types of media exposure in this same arena. Through effectively reaching the key media persons at various magazines, web sites, ezines and other resources, Libra Design and Media will work with your business to help you achieve this media exposure. Because this type of media exposure tends to be more valuable than advertising, and costs a fraction of what you'd pay to advertise in any number of national publications you'll find, it's a good investment for most any business.
Feedback from a satisfied client currently running a public relations campaign:We hired Libra Design and Media to assist in the ongoing development of our brand. They have proved responsive to our very specific needs and have always been utterly professional. -- Chris Hartley, Vegetarian Shoes and

How Libra Can Help Your Business
Libra Design and Media currently manages many campaigns for a variety happy clients that have seen great success in public relations. We start out with designing a media campaign proposal specifically for your business. Upon your approval, we send a contract for you to sign, and we start working immediately. We'll compile a listing of magazines and other publications, as well as online resources we feel will meet your marketing needs and objectives. These audiences will be carefully chosen so that they are a good match for your target market and secondary markets. The final listing is approved by you.
The next step is to write your first press release. The press release is to be as newsworthy as possible. It should introduce a new product line and its significance, for example, or it can state new happenings within your company, such as how your business has focused its environmentally friendly efforts into producing less waste, as another example. The press release is written with your business and products or services in mind, and upon your approval, is distributed to the media persons on the list that you approved.
Once those steps are in place, we continuously search out new media contacts, updating our lists often based on our findings, as well as adding media contacts that you might have to suggest. We stay in touch with these selected media regularly, 4 to 6 times each month, to make sure that they have received the samples they requested, and also to answer questions, provide additional information, encourage them to publish information about your business, or offer suggestions on how to incorporate your business' name in an upcoming article. Once an article is confirmed with an editor, we continue to stay in touch until we have obtained a copy of the magazine or the web page in which the feature ran, and we share this information with you, which you can post on your web site with a link.
